The
Department of PG Commerce organized various competitions on 13 August 2026 as
part of the 80th Independence Day Celebrations. The competitions were conducted
to create awareness about the significance of India’s freedom struggle,
encourage patriotism, and provide students with opportunities to express their
creativity, communication skills, and talents. The events included Tamil
Elocution, English Elocution, Drawing, and Cooking without Fire.
The competitions were conducted
systematically under the guidance of the faculty members. Each competition was
evaluated by qualified judges who carefully assessed the students’ performances
based on relevant criteria. Two judges evaluated each competition, while three
judges evaluated the Cooking without Fire competition, which included both UG
and PG students. A total of 76 students enthusiastically participated in these
competitions.
The
Department of PG Commerce extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the
well-wishers and sponsors who generously contributed prizes for the 80th
Independence Day competitions. Your valuable support, encouragement, and
contributions motivated our students and made the prize distribution ceremony
memorable and successful.
