The Department of PG Commerce, Nesamony Memorial Christian College, Marthandam, organized a Fresher’s Welcome Programme on 10 July 2026 at 1.30 p.m. at Seminar Hall II. The programme was organized to warmly welcome the new students and provide them with a friendly and enjoyable introduction to college life and the Department of PG Commerce.

                 The programme began with a prayer song presented by Varsha and team of III B.Com, seeking God’s blessings for the successful academic journey of the students. This was followed by the Welcome Speech delivered by Thirsha Dify of III B.Com, who extended a warm welcome to the fresher’s and distinguished participants.

                 A special felicitation was given by Dr. V.Viji Kumar,Assistant Professor, adding significance to the occasion and encouraging the students to actively participate in academic and extracurricular activities.

                  The programme then continued with a series of entertaining and interactive activities. Ashika of III B.Com conducted games, followed by a lively dance performance by Adchara and team of III B.Com. Another engaging game was conducted by Abishree Rose of II B.Com.

                 The students also enjoyed an interesting quiz conducted by Abinaya of III B.Com, which encouraged participation and enthusiasm among the fresher’s. This was followed by a colourful dance performance by Farhan and team of III B.Com.

                 The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Akashiya of II B.Com, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. Finally, the programme concluded with the National Anthem. The event created a joyful, friendly and memorable beginning for the fresher’s.
