Tamilnadu Rural Self employment Training Institute, Ministry of Human Resources Development and Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India jointly organised a Training program on Mushroom Cultivation in the Department of Botany, Nesamony Memorial Christian College from 2-06-2026 to 12-06-2026. Thirty Five students (4 from Sree Ayyappa College for Women, Chunkankadai, 4 from Sree Devi Kumari College for Women, Kuzhithurai and 27 from NMCC) participated in the program. Classes and Hands on Training were given. The training program was very successful and now the mushroom is being cultivated in the Mushroom Shed of the Department.
