The UG Association Inauguration of the Department of Physics was successfully organized on 6th August 2026 from 1:40 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. at the Physics Seminar Hall. The programme marked the beginning of the academic activities of the Physics Association for the year and aimed to motivate students academically, professionally, and personally. The programme commenced with a prayer song by J. Jessica (III B.Sc. Physics), seeking God's blessings for the successful conduct of the event. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by E. J. Ashlin Jenifer (III B.Sc. Physics), who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty members, and students. She highlighted the significance of the UG Association in promoting leadership, teamwork, and academic excellence among the students of the department.

The Presidential Address and Chief Guest Introduction was delivered by Dr. D. Aruldhas, Head of the Department of Physics. In his address, he emphasized the importance of such academic gatherings in shaping students' careers and personalities. He also introduced the three distinguished resource persons and appreciated their willingness to share their knowledge and experiences with the students. The chief guests were honoured by Dr. P. J. Jegan Babu, Dr. A. S. Jebamalar, and Dr. S. Jeslin Sunitha Bai as a mark of respect and gratitude. The felicitation ceremony reflected the department's appreciation for the valuable contribution of the invited speakers.

The first resource person, Adv. Antush Jerome, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking motivational session on career planning, financial discipline, and life management. He explained that success is not merely about earning money but about managing it wisely. He encouraged students to develop the habit of saving and investing from the beginning of their careers so that they could achieve financial independence at an early stage of life. He stressed that with proper planning, disciplined work, and smart financial decisions, an individual could work productively up to the age of forty and thereafter enjoy a peaceful, stress-free, and financially secure life. His speech inspired students to think beyond academic success and prepare themselves for a stable and meaningful future.

The second resource person, Mrs. Rekha Parameswaran, delivered an emotional and enlightening session on Family Bonding. She emphasized that parents are the greatest blessings in one's life and that their love, sacrifices, and guidance can never be replaced. She encouraged students to respect their parents, spend quality time with them, communicate openly, and express gratitude for everything they do. She explained that strong family relationships build emotional strength, confidence, and moral values, which are essential for leading a successful and balanced life. Her session deeply touched the audience and reminded everyone of the importance of family in personal growth.

The third resource person, Dr. Jinesha, presented an informative lecture on Ayurvedic Health Tips. She explained the importance of maintaining good physical and mental health through Ayurveda and natural lifestyle practices. She shared practical tips on following a balanced diet, maintaining proper sleep, staying physically active, managing stress, and using simple natural remedies to prevent common illnesses. She also highlighted the significance of preventive healthcare and encouraged students to adopt healthy daily habits for long-term well-being. Her session provided valuable knowledge on leading a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

The programme also included a vibrant dance performance by Riya R. and Team (I B.Sc. Physics), which added colour and enthusiasm to the event. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Jessie Sashni S. S. (I B.Sc. Physics). She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management, the Principal, the Head of the Department, the respected resource persons, the faculty members, student organizers, and all the participants for their valuable support and cooperation in making the programme a grand success. About 73 participants attended the programme. The event concluded at 3:40 p.m. with great enthusiasm and satisfaction. The UG Association Inauguration proved to be an enriching experience, providing students with valuable insights into career planning, family values, and healthy living. The programme inspired everyone to strive for academic excellence while also developing the personal values and life skills needed for a successful future.
