In view of National Science Day, the Department of Physics, NMCC, organized an invited talk on “Future Directions for Science Stream Students” on 28^th February 2026 from 10:00  to 11:00 am  in the Physics Seminar Hall. The resource person for the session was Dr. N. Vijayan, Chief Scientist and Professor at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR–National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. The session was attended by PG Physics (Aided & SF) and Chemistry students as well as III B.Sc. Physics students, with nearly 100 participants in total. The talk was highly informative and inspiring, encouraging students to pursue research using the resources available to them, much like pioneers such as C. V. Raman. He also highlighted the importance of responsible use of natural resources and the need to protect them for future generations.
