Pongal Thirunaal was celebrated by the Department of Physics on 14 January 2026 at the M.Sc. Lab, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with the participation of staff and students. The programme began with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address and a presidential address highlighting the cultural significance of Pongal and gratitude towards nature. The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances, an engaging game, and a Pongal speech explaining the festival’s importance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The celebration fostered cultural pride, unity, and joy, truly reflecting the spirit of Pongal - harmony, prosperity, and togetherness.
