The Association inauguration of Physics department was held on 19-08-2019 at Seminar hall-II. UG Association Secretary Anil Raj welcomed the gathering. Head of the department Dr. R. Sheela Christy gave the presidential address. The Chief Guests are Mr. David Xavier and Mr. Selvam. Mr. David Xavier is a counsellor in Government Hosptial, Kuzhithurai. He delivered a brief talk about AIDS. Mr. Selvam senior treatment Supervisor in Government Hospital, Kuzhithurai  gave a lot of information under the topic Tuberculosis. He also explained the spreading of TB, preventive measure and the treatment for curing tuberculosis disease. Both the Chief Guests inspired the gathering which created an awareness among the students. Finally a oath was taken by the staff and students to live a model life free from unwanted contagious diseases. Y. K. Pratheesha Mol of II M.Sc. Physics delivered the vote of thanks. The Association meeting came to an end at 3.45 pm with the National Anthem.
