The Department of Physics and Research centre and IQAC, organized a National Webinar on "Terahertz Generation Studies of NLO crystals" on Saturday 25^th July 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The resource person was Dr. I .Hubert Joe, Associate Professor in Physics, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Trivandrum. The meeting was arranged in zoom platform. There were 864 registered participants from India and all around the world. 268 members (students & professors) participated in the webinar. Dr. R. Sheela Christy, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics welcomed the gathering. Our Principal, Dr. K. Paul Raj presided over the webinar by giving the Presidential Address regarding Tera Hertz spectroscopy. Our Correspondent, Adv. L. Rajathurai felicitated the gathering. Dr. D. Arul Dhas, Associate Professor in Physics introduced the Chief Guest and organized the program. Dr. I. Hubert Joe gave the talk on “TeraHertz Generation Studies of NLO Crystals” and explained its generation and applications along with the theory and analysis of NLO Crystals. Dr. S. C. Jeyakumar, Associate Professor in Physics gave the Vote of Thanks. Dr. S. Tibi Thomas, IQAC coordinator and Assistant Professor in English coordinated and gave full support for the webinar. Dr. S. Sindhusha, Assistant Professor in Physics did all the arrangements for certificate distribution. As a whole, the program was a grand success.
