The students of Department of Physics, celebrated the harvest festival, Pongal on 14^th January 2020. Venue of the celebration was M. Sc lab, Department of Physics. Dr. R Sheela Christy, Head of the Department was the chief guest along with the professors of the department. All the students of our department gathered to celebrate the harvest festival.

            The program started at 11 am with a spiritual prayer song by Bebisha B.R. of II B. Sc Physics. The welcome address was given by K. Preetha of II B.Sc. The presidential address was given by Dr. R Sheela Christy. A beautiful speech was delivered by C.R. Vidharshanaa of I B.Sc followed by playful competitions. A special song was sung by Jothika of II B.Sc physics. A connection quiz was held which was answered by many students followed by vote of thanks by Aswin of I M.Sc. The program ended at 1.00 pm. Pongal along with a piece of sugar cane was distributed to all the members gathered in the function.
