On 21^th July 2025, the Physics Department organized Freshers Day programme to welcome the first-year students. The event commenced with a prayer song, followed by a warm welcome address. The Head of the Department, Dr. D. Arul Dhas, delivered an inspiring motivational speech. Dr. S.C. Jeya Kumar addressed the gathering and gave a detailed talk about the SWAYAM free online education platform. He explained the importance of online learning and how students can benefit from SWAYAM’s wide range of courses. After the talk, second-year students conducted fun filled games and a melodious song. The first-year students introduced themselves to everyone. Then, a few engaging games and tasks were conducted by the third-year students for the freshers, which brought laughter and bonding among the students. After the games, final-year students presented a vibrant western dance performance. The programme came to an end with a sincere vote of thanks, appreciating everyone who contributed to the success of the day. The National Anthem was played, marking a respectful and patriotic conclusion to the event. The Freshers Day programme was a perfect blend of information, interaction, entertainment, creating lasting memories for the newcomers and strengthening bonds within the department.
