INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EMERGING TRENDS
IN SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS AND APPLICATIONS
[ICETSMA-2023]
Department of Physics
and Research Centre, Nesamony Memorial Christian College, Marthandam organized
an International Conference on Emerging Trends in Sustainable Materials and
Applications (ICETSMA – 2023) in association with Indian Science and Technology
Association (Elavenil-ISTA) during 20th & 21st March.
Dr. E. Ashlyn Kirupa and Dr. S. Sindhusha were acted as conveners and Dr. P. J.
Jegan Babu and Dr. C. Christal Vasanthi were acted as co-conveners. The scope of this conference is vast and
covers a wide spectrum of areas such as Nano-materials, Biomaterials, Crystal
Growth, Energy and Storage Materials, Solar Cells, Thin Films, Computational
Physics etc. The main motive of the conference is to bring together eminent
researchers across the world to share their ideas and recent development in the
field of Science and Technology.
The meeting was started with Prayer by our Chaplain
Rev. (Mrs) Starie Princilal. Dr.
R. Sheela Christy, Head of the Department welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Paul
Raj presided over the meeting. Dr. D. Aruldhas introduced the theme of the
conference and Dr. M. Srinivasan, SSN Institutions gave an insight about the
Elavenil organization. Dr. K. Gunasekaran, Professor, University of Madras and
Dr. Joseph Daniel, Kyungpook National University, South Korea
inaugurated the meeting. The abstract book of the conference was released and
the first copy was received by our Correspondent Dr. T. Vinod Kumar. The full
length proceedings was published with ISBN number 9789353917838. Inaugural
session finished with vote of Thanks by Dr. E. Ashlyn Kirupa. 5 invited Talks
were presented on the first day of the conference after the inaugural session.
10 Oral and 48 poster presentations were conducted on the first day. 5 invited
talks were presented on the second day of the conference. Dr. V.C.K Award was
conducted on the second day to promote the reading of scientific articles in
tamil and 8 students presented their views in tamil. Dr. R. Sheela Christy
presided the valedictory meeting. Dr. C.
Christal Vasanthi welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Sudhakar, CECRI, Karaikudi
gave the valedictory message. The best presentation and V.C.K award was
distributed in the Valedictory session. The conference ended with vote of
thanks by Dr. S. Sindhusha followed by
national Anthem.
We
take this opportunity to express our sense of gratitude to the College
Management, Correspondent and Principal for their valuable support in all our
endeavours. We specially thank our HOD’s for their extraordinary support and
guidance. We convey our sincere thanks to all the Resource Persons and the
researchers who present their findings in the conference and all my fellow
faculty members and students, whose tireless work made this conference a
success.
