A One-day Workshop on Career Counselling for English Graduates

The Department of English (Aided) organized a one-day workshop on Career Counseling for English Graduates on March 17, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The resource person for the event was Dr. R. Pranesh Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of English at S.R. University, Warangal, Telangana. The program began with a prayer song by our department choir. Soni R. L. delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Dr. M. Prabha Punniavathi, Head of the Department of English (Aided). Sweety B.  introduced the chief guest. Dr. V. R. Pranesh Kumar, delivered the keynote address. His presentation, titled “Career Counseling for English Graduates,” provided an overview of various career opportunities available to English Literature students. He discussed important topics such as the IELTS and TOEFL exams, social media platforms, and online learning resources. The workshop included an interactive session where students had the opportunity to engage with the resource person. Dr. P. Helmsly Solomon, HOD PG Department of English honoured the chief guest, and Sherlin H.  delivered the vote of thanks. Students from III BA English  participated in the workshop. A total of 70 students were benefited. It was an insightful session that concluded with the national anthem.
