Student Aid Fund
The student aid fund is generated from the student aid fee collected from each student. This will be available in the form of cash for poor deserving students to meet examination fee, a small part of tuition fee, cost of specific books essential for their study, clothing or medical expenses. The interest of the endowment amount of Rs. 4000/- instituted by Prof. A.J. Harris is available for the purpose of extending aid for the deserving students.
Free Mid-day Meal Scheme
With the monthly contribution by the staff and the donations from the students and well wishers, the College provides free mid-day meals on working days to a limited number of poor students. More students could benefit if the fund is increased. The interest of the endowment funds like Rev. Harris Memorial endowment (Rs. 1000/-) Miss. Isaacs Endowment (Rs. 1000/-) and the endowment (Rs. 7,000/-) instituted by the College Students Council of 1978-79 are also available for the above purpose.
Personality Development
This committee assists the students in overcoming academic social, personal or emotional
problems. It aims at helping students adjust themselves to the demands of college
life and acquaint themselves with the various resources available in the college
and through the college. It helps students develop life goals that will be challenging
to their innate talents, capabilities and aptitudes.
Remedial Coaching
A remedial coaching commitee has started functioning in the college from last academic
year. One of the major objectives of this committee is to conduct U.G.C./ C.S.I.R.
Coaching class for the post graduate studies.
The committee is entrusted with providing model questions to each department and
to provide sufficient reference materials for paper II. The committee is also planning
to conduct coaching classes for civil service examinations. Since many of our students
are weak in part II English the committee will make arrangements to conduct remedial
coaching in Part II English for the final year UG Students.
Career Guidance Cell
One of the important Committees, consistuted recently on our campus, is Career Guidance
Cell. Dedicated staff members of the college are in this committee. Its major objectives
are:
- To provide available information on the job positions, opportunities, etc.
- To provide necessary literature / brochure / information / entrepreneurship to conduct
Seminar / Workshop
- To measure the aptitude towards preference of jobs.
- To organise campaign in the campus
- To generate resources for the needy students to apply for jobs / starting enterprises.
Anti-Eve Teasing Cell
As per the instruction of the Govt. of Tamil nadu, an Anti- Eve Teasing Cell started
functioning in our college from the academic year 2001-2002.
The major activities of this cell include the conduct of periodic seminars on anti-eveteasing
and competitions on the theme 'anti-eveteasing'. The cell also gives counselling
to students on the problems related to anti-eve teasing.
Parent Teacher Association
Parent Teacher Association was started on 21.04.1994. The general body meeting of
the association is convened once in a year. The Executive Committee meets at least
six times a year. The association plays a vital role in providing infrastructure
for the college. It also involves in the overall development of the college.
Students Christian Movement (SCM)
The Students Christian Movement (SCM) provides christian values to the protestant
christian students of the College. The Principal is the patron of the movement who
is guided by the chaplian. It has two Staff Advisors and student representatives
from each class and s secretary. The activites are
- Morning worship during working days
- Special meetings on every Tuesday
- Hospital Visits
- Contribution to Blind School Students
- Carol Rounds during Christmas
Career Oriented Programs
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned the following job oriented
Certificate / Diploma / Advanced Diploma courses for the first year Degree students
from the academic year 2005-2006. Classes will be held during evening hours.

Alumni Association
All the students who have studied in Nesamony Memorial Christian College are encouraged
to become members of the association and to involve actively in the programmes conducted
by the association.
Campus Placement
The placement cell conducts Student Support Programmes that enhances their chances
for a smooth transition from a student to an executive.
The placement cell holds training for the final year students to fine-tune presentation
techniques and network with the industry leaders to provide them with the opportunity
to find a suitable placement. The placement cell has been successful in bringing
some organizations to the campus and gets the best students placed.
